George W Bush,Navin Jindal,Chidambaram,LK Advani,Narendra Modi and now Yeddiyurappa.....join the trend to get footwear hurled at.....I guess it's the world's popular trend to react to politicians.....I guess the hurlers should'nt be punished severely.It indeed is a footwear election in India this time...Who's next??/

Mallika Sherawat Milkshake anyone??

Actress joins the likes of David Beckham and Paris Hilton .......Mallika Sherawat became the first Bollywood star to be honoured with her own milkshake at Hollywood hotspot Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

With this she joined the likes of Hollywood celebs Miley Cyrus, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Sandler, Kim Kardashian, Heidi and Spencer, Perez Hilton and Tim Allen.

The Mallika Shake comes with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.....tempting for many I guess.

Manju's 6th Birthday party--a sure hit!!!

With the weather being perfect on a Saturday afternoon,as planned,Manju's 6th Birthday party was enjoyed by all,kids and parents.The egg hunt,the vast space to run around,the swings and rocking horsies all were started at 11 am and went on till 4 pm.The food catered to us by Swagath Restuarant,Ashburn near Nagesh's office was simply fantastic.Everyone praised the cutlets,samosas,malai kofta,guthi vankaya,naan,veg.pulao,raitha,sambhar,curdrice and Gulab Jamoons.The chocolate cake was cut and everyone liked that too.So,Manju was excited and happy with all the gifts and no food was wasted as our friends also packed it home. Overall,a good time hosted by my hubby,Nagesh...thanks to him for everything.

Sony Television is telecasting Specials @10 from the past few weeks and on Thursdays,the Madhur Bhandarkar's entertainment has different episodes each week......portraying the struggles and lives of the common women amidst us and in many various walks of life...... a mother,a daughter,a sister,a wife and a friend and many more roles played to almost perfection.There certainly is a Heroine in each one of our lives....a word of encouragement,appreciation,hope and love is all that she needs from the other gender than the display of ego,words of inequality,discrimination,hatred,humiliation,mocking and putting down she receives mostly from the majority of the men........times are changing rapidly and amidst everyday's struggles,successes and failues,tears being suppressed at the brink and weakness to be fought with,she emerges as a superpower one day.....to prove it to the world...to prove it to herself!!!A salute to millions of women.....truly a Heroine!!!!

Femina Miss India 2009

A plethora of colorful coutures,Indian designer wear and a star studded ceremony marked the crowning of the Femina Miss Indias yesterday.The winners were Shriya Kishore as Miss India Earth,Pooja Chopra as Miss India World and Ekta Chaudhary as Miss India Universe.

The gorgeous Deepika Padukone,Asin and Sushmita Sen were on the jury with Madhur Bhandarkar,Ajay Devgan and others.Performances from Priyanka Chopra,Genelia and Kangana had the oomph factors.And of course the cute host,Madhavan sizzled with Malaika Arora too.

Congratulations to the winners and Good Luck for the new responsibilities,hope you do your bit to change things for the good.

Exercising,Yoga,Pranayama and Walking......restart!!!!

Just get up and Go seems to be the Spring mantra....got to and stick to an exercise routine which can be Mon-Gym workouts,Tue-Yoga and Pranayam with Meditation,Wed-Walk in the neighbourhood,Thu-Yoga,Fri-Gym,Sat-yoga and Sun-Walking---so that I get 30 -45 mins of physical exercise everyday....to be fit,healthy,lose weight and reduce triglycerides!!It's a difficult task to keep up with the regularity indeed...determination is the key..so let's start!!!

And of course as written earlier in my blogs,to be healthy spiritually,a must recital of Vishnusahasranama after the shower can work wonders.So the internet,e-mails,news,blogging and job searches can wait for a few hrs,maybe 2 hrs.And later nutritious cooking for my lil' daughter...lunch..nap and pick her up....Phew,it indeed is a tough time mangement routine,got to keep up to it.

Cant' believe my daughter turned 6 today.

Manju's 6th Birthday is today on April 3rd 2009.Just cant' believe that she's 6 years old so soon.Time flies so fast....I just remember the tiny little bundle of joy born to us on Apr 3rd 2003.
Wenamed her Manju after Manjunatha Swamy and also Chaitanya to be her official starwise name which means strength,enthusiasm,spirit of life,liveliness,etc.......
May God Manjunatha Swamy give my Chaitanya good health,wealth,happiness,knowledge and intellect as she grows.It's a celebration with the yummiest cake in town......cool.Happy Birthday my dearest Manju baby!!!

Masala Dosa....mmmm...mouth watering...evergreen dish

Masala Dosa....the thought of it brings water in the mouth.Have been feasting on this delicious breakfast item from childhood.The Ganesh Darshan restuarant in 4th Block Jayanagar,Bangalore,India has a Dosa camp and is famous for it's Masala dosas.

The ubiquitous Indian dish masala dosa has its origins in Udupi, Karnataka[2]. A masala dosa is made by stuffing a dosa with a lightly cooked filling of potatoes, fried onions and spices. It wraps the dosa around a onion and potato curry or sabji.
Dosa is supposed to have had its roots in the Temple Streets of Udupi, Karnataka.,India.
