Nostalgic trip last year

Last year's visit to India...after the jetlag ,it was a planned trip to fulfil Harakes ,in places where nature at its best called us out to move in there insted of the city's hustle-bustle.South Canara....aahh!!
Kukke Subramanya,Dharmasthala,Udupi,Ambalpadi,Idugunji,
Aanegudda,Murudeshwara,Gokarna,Sringeri,Kollur,Horanadu,
Ediyur and Moodabidri rejuvenated us. RN Shetty's New Hotel with all the amenities at Murudeshwar (where there's the world's largest statue of Lord Shiva)with a view of the sea was really awesome.Truly a fantastic trip of 2008 revisiting history, mythologies and the bountiful locales. We have been there many times and each time there's something new to experience........it's all about the journey and the destinations.
Wikipedia says...Murudeshwara (Kannada: ಮುರುಡೇಶ್ವರ) is a town in the Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka, India. "Murudeshwara" is another name of the Hindu god Shiva. Famous for the world's tallest Shiva statue, this beach town lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea and is also famous for the Murudeshwara Temple.
