Ending hibernation party...at the Bedis' place.

That was a good party after a long winter hibernation.The kids truly enjoyed and the Bhel,an all time Deepa Bedi hit was great.Thanks to Shaurya,Saloni,Lalith and Deepa for having the Merrifield group meet with all of us having able to make it and staying late partying.Truly Deepa's style,a nice Dino theme too.The kids in all their wilderness felt free to let their hair down and dance off.Thanks Deepa for a wonderful time.More to come in the coming spring Birthdays...cool.

The "hope" giving speech telecast on all the channels was a sure hit and as Senators applauded several times,it sent us a message to wait and hope for creation of more jobs nationwide.Let's wait and watch and do our part to the world.Good one Mr.Obama.

Vinay Pathak starrer DasVidaniya has a nice concept of doing the 10 things to do before we end this lifespan.Not procrastinating,it's really wise to prioritise and follow our dreams and get the 10 out of 10 checks on the To Do List.An okay movie with a strong message for all of us out there caught in the mundane routine of life.

As the Oscars are going to be announced tomorrow,the SlumDog Millionaire team waits with a lot of hope and even the kids starring in the movie arrive at LA for the Red Carpet and other ceremonies.We wish the team Good Luck and congratulate them for being nominees.

Indian Idol 4

Indian Idol 4 has 3 finalists and the voted out participants sometimes are more talented than the ones that reach the finals.The voting of the public is plain crap and it's just the drama that goes on to keep running the show.I wish after a final 10 is chosen,the judges have to take the reins and judge without bias.The public voting is entirely crap from Indian Idol 2 or maybe even the first one.Let's see how long this goes on.. .but the talented singers will make it in the Bollywood playback singing amidst thousands of others and continue to entertain us in the coming years.

Rajdeep...a find of Indian Idol is voted out and now it's really upto the music industry to provide a promised opportunity to him and many others.

It's again that time of the year when the phone rings constantly for almost half a day.Dear and loved ones call to wish ,send mails and orkut's been flooded with messages and it just makes your day brighter and you're thankful to God for such a loving family and even new friends.As we move another year ahead with wisdom,experience,hope and joy,it's eagerness to explore,learn,help,enjoy and be loved year after year.Thanks a lot God.

Jhumpa Lahiri's novel turned into a Meera Nair movie...well ,worth a watch with hidden deep meanings and feelings for all of us Indians. It stars Tabu,Irfan Khan,Kal Penn and others.
Strong recommendations to watch it once and see ourselves identified.
A Bengali couple in the United States in the 70s ,their lives,friends,socialising, teenage children,loneliness,and finally to be set free..to follow one's own instincts.....in our roots...India!!!!

Pay it forward.

Pay it foward...a good movie with a strong message where a social studies teacher gives a project to the class of 4th graders.Trevor,the young boy takes it seriously and starts on the project which says" Change the world in any good way and put it into action!!". It stars Kevin Spacey,Helen Hunt and Haley Joel Osment.

A nice movement to bring about a change strikes into his young mind where a person helps 3 people in trouble and in turn each of them help 3 more people and so on.A nice thought of paying it forward and he gets interviewed too by a well known television channel,only to know that he helps a classmate in trouble after the interview and gets stabbed and dies in a gang brawl.A strong message to live life with a meaning and go according to ...It's better to live courgeously for a day than live cowardly for 100 years....a recommended movie for people searching the meaning of life....when it's just to realize the meaning of paying it forward and making people happy and in turn get abundant happiness in the world.
